the reason why we use continious editing while were filming is it tells a story by creating a spatially and temporally coherent sequences of events and actions (1917). with the end result of enabling and viewer to percieve a sense of casual cohession across cuts.

parallel editing is a powerful tool for edit editors like to use. this technique is designed to use a process where it alternates between two or more scenes that happen in different locations.
continuity mistakes in films/ tv shows:
the first example of a continiuty error is the game of thrones coffee cup instead of the goblet scene. how this is a continiuty error is they recognized the cup was missing between the scenes. the continuity error even overshadowed cameos from series showrunners David Benioff and Daniel Brett Weiss as a pairing of wildings.

the fourth example of a continuity mistake is in the simpson's the framed picture of Maggie before she was born. the continiuty error is when homer simpson recalls him having a flashback to when he was a little boy and when marge was pregnant

target audience
A target audience is a film/ TV show that is aimed at a particular group of people.
the second example of a continuity error is David the dog and teleporter in coronation street. the continuity error involves the Platt family taking a break from the cobbles. the reporter Max leads David's dog out the room with him as they exit.

The fifth example of a continuity mistake is when rachel forgot she met chandler four times. rachel originally thought she met chandler once but in a recent flashback of the show they said that she met chandler four times. the first time she met chandler was back in 1987 where she met chandler at a thanksgiving party. the second time she met chandler was in the same year and they met at a college party and shared a unforgettable drink together and a first kiss. the third time they met was back in 1988 and they were reunited for yet another thanksgiving party, this ended traumatically for Chandler as he ended up losing half his toe. the fourth time the pair met was back in 1984 when the pilot episode of friends was made.

the third example of a continuity mistake is the wrong time on big ben. how a continuity mistake occurs is when the alien ship crashes into it [big ben], moments before it happened everyone started to realize that big ben had roman numerals on both sides of the clock

Film based on a script:
What we had to do was a video based off a script that we chose and the script we chose to do was my mate Tommy's, theme of the film that we chose to do was about a bomb going off and we had to save several innocent lives before it went off, the style of shot we chose to go with was a shot continuity.
