Yuyoi Kusama was born on the 22nd March, 1929. She is 91 years of age. She's a Japanese artist who does who bases her work around art installations. She was trained at a special art school in Japan where she studied famous Japanese paintings. In 1958,  she moved to New York to work on her famous pop art movement. The colour she is most famous for is red, the reason why she likes the colour red so much is because of polka dots. She uses polka dots in her work because it reminds her of hallucination visions she had growing up as a child in Japan. She was also very terrified about the vision of reoccurance of dots, floral patterns and bright lights, this made her feel like she was being obliterated. Yuyoi Kusama has also opened up about her mental and said that her art work has helped her out massively.

What I like about her work is she works with different colours which to me symbolises different emotions. How this it could inspire my soundscape is where my soundscape was something to do with emotions I feel like her work had something to do with that as when I searched her up she had bad problems growing up.
