Who is Lev Kuleshow?
Lev Kuleshow is a Russian and Soviet union filmmaker and film theorist and director, he also taught that you can structure a film by using montage. He also taught us that the cutting, editing of the film and the juxtaposition of the image is and still is the most important aspects of filmmaking. He was one of the founders of a the world's film school, the Moscow fiilm school. He was also given the title of the people's artist of the RSFRS back in 1969.
What is the Kuleshow effect?
The Kuleshow effect is it informs modern film makers. He started this effect by show casing emotions in his editing. He likes to place a lot of thought into the juxtaposition of his shots, he also likes to do short films which demonstarte the kuleshow effect. Kuleshow has the intention of doing short films to show the audience's perception of something they see on their screen.
