Work Experience Day 1:

In this video I have just watched, it's all about sector spotlight. A student that does their work experience with Mark Roberts will first learn the basics of photography and videography, then we would progress to go on and doing real life events such as wedding, we will then be doing professional portrait shoots and then commercial, we will then be learning how to edit in a professional film studio, we will also be looking to use professional softwares such as photoshop, light room, final cut pro and premier pro.The number 1 thing you can do is perfect your craft.

On this link I went down to the search bar and typed in 'media' I then clicked on the top 1 which was 'media planner' the media planner is also known as the communication planner as well as they're known as being a media strategist. The role of becoming a social media planner is to develop strategies which can then determine which social media platform/ channels can then communicate with their target audience. If I choose to go with these I'll be working with media account directors, media buyers and insight executives. If I do choose to go down the road of becoming a media planner then I'm responsible for creating media plans which detail and justify the media channels to be used. If you're looking to succeed in becoming a media planner then you got to be well organised , with strong attention to detail and proficient at excel. If you're looking where they come from and where they go then media planners often start work as graduates within media agencies.

I made a barclays life skills account and at the minute I'm making a wheel of strength. Why I'm making this wheel of strength is to choose the right career for me and what I want to do for my career path. I then had to spin the wheel and it gave me my skills, interests and personality traits such as becoming a officer manager, becoming a fitness instructor and restaurants and catering manager. If I could develop my skills even more further then I can become a training and development officer, project manager and I could become a care worker.
For video 1 I chose to do a broadcaster and journalist freelancer. Gabby Logan went to a university to study law. In 1992, sky asked her to do a screentest. The average salary that Gabby Logan on is £290,000-£294,999, the wage reflects her being a ex gymnast, it also includes the premier league show, fifa world cup, the olympic games as well as the commonwealth game.

When I went on this spring pod, in the search bar I typed in 'media' and two options showed up, them two options virgin media insight day or journalism virtual work experience, I chose to do the second option. The benefits of picking this as your work experince is you'll learn about it's core value, you'll also get a lot of career opportunities. There's a choice of four you can choose from. 1.) print journalism, this contains working with newspapers, magazines and the roles that you can learn within an editorial team 2,) broadcast journalsm, if you choose this options then you're going to be working with TV radio, typical job roles and the UK's broadcast media provider. 3.) photojournalism, you'll learn how to become a great photographer and how to get into it. 4.) news copying editing to do this you're going to be good at news production and you got to be a good presenter when you're presenting. The requirements you're going to need is you must be in year 10 up until year 13 and you must attend either a school or college in the UK. The location is available worldwide.

For task 2 on activity 2 I had to choose a video to watch and that video was creative and content director. Livity: youth engagement agency. It is a agency which helps loads of young people gain skills and get back into work every year, they can make either TV shows, magazines or even a website campaign. Callum who works for this youth agencey has a degree in Marine Biology. He strongly goes by if you live up to your own passion then you're going to be successful in life.

For task 3 on a activity 2 I chose to do my third and final video on becoming a chief executive. What they're going on about in this video is they're talking about the 2012 olympic games which London held. They see people having a apprenticeships really important. What he looks for with people who he wants to work with is confidence especially young people, they also need self believe, be ready to learn, not accepting anything. They want a person who has all the confidence in the world to engage. His best advice he can give to the young people is if there are any work experience then take it because you're going to need all the experience you're going to get in order to become successful. Gavin likes to work really closely with a college in Hackney. His best piece of advice he can give you is not to look more forward more than five years because you might have no idea what the future will look like.
Work Experience Day 2:

Monro Shephard is a pollinator, he's a human pollinator and he likes taking ideas from other people.

Dishad Husein is a freelance director, cameraman and also a writer of comedy. While he was at school he had absolutely no clue of what he wanted to be when he was older. He then went on to do a degree in science, but he spent the majority of his time being a student who studies film and television society. This experience helped him out massively to get into the film schoolo, where he learned the skills he still uses to this day. He likes to do the comedy just for his own personal life. Then he said ,most of his jobs come in the form of either documentary, mainstream and documentaries. When he was just a kid he started thinking about going into science because his Mum wanted him to become a scientist or a doctor, that is what he was mainly thinking about when he was younger.

Stephen Hewett and hes the lead creating designer designher of a game he's working on. He;s worked in different parts of media. He had romedial english, he went to a special school so he can learn how to write. He didn't know what he wanted to be so when he was in school he was chopping and changing and wanted to e a marine biologist and when he went to Fulham university he wanted to do computer science. He didn't want to do that because he's not into computers, but when he was in school he liked doing art. He wanted to do something which combines both computers and art so when he heard about multi media he was over the moon.
Activity 2:
What a average day of work will look like is you going into work and working to try and help the people who read your CV/ linked in profile so you can help your friends and family with their day to day life. The sort of thing I'd do if I was at work is probably work really hard editing stuff using editing softwares such as premier pro and photoshop. I'd like to work really closely with people who chose to go down the media path if that is what their chosen career path is because then I feel like we can really bond because it'll be something we have in common. The equipment and resources I'll be using is a camera and using a green screen so when I record for a close personal mate/ TV show I can show off my skills, the other equipment I can also use is a laptop so I can then edit some photographs/ videos that I took and can make them better. The amount of hours I'll be doing could vary so for example one day I can be working for 5 hours (5-10) and the next day I can be working a 12 hour shift so from 7 in the morning up until 7 in the evening.
Activity 3:
For Activity 3, I'm making a CV. On this CV I added my name, my email, my phone number, my home address and post code. I had to also write a personal statement and on this personal statement I written about my age, my college, my interests, the skills I have learnt while on my course, my work experience in year, what my mates think of me. I am now going to add my education and the day I started it. I have to add my achievements so I added my college, my work experience when I started it and when I finished it, my biggest accomplishments, my grades and what subjects they were. My skills and interests, I hightlighted that I'm good with using a word/power point, good with working with a team, good with updating my wix account, good with using a ca,era and that my software skills are slowly improving little by little, day by day. Now I'm currently highlighting my transferable skills. I selected 8 skills that I feel suit me and my personality. Them 8 I've highlighted is determined, hard working, team player, caring creative, good communicator, trustworthy and social. I added what I like to do in my spare time which is play football. Where I made this CV was on barclays life skills.
Activity 4:
I created a linked in profile and on this linked in profile I added my course, where I done my work experience, my skills, the courses I have worked/ working on in college and what month/ year I started and what year I have finished working on that course, my honors and awards that I've picked up, my language that I speak, my skills that I have learnt while on my course, my exams that I would've sat in the summer of 2020 (if covid wasn't around),the test scores that I got,my email address and people who have viewed my profile on linked in.
Work Experience Day 3:
The Study Of Film:
For my third day of work experience I'm watching something to do on the business of films, They start by looking at the challenges that not only face them but face the film industry too, they then go on to study and protect their film idea and then you attract finance to it, in this video they talk about how films are carefully distributed, they also look at how risky this can be, if you want your career to be going down the film path then this course is the right one for you as you will learn about everything on this course.
The reason why some films might flop or be labelled as 'flop' because some films failed to make money in the box office as they cost to produce the film then release the film. Another reason why people may call films as flops is because they seriously underperform under everyone's expectation of it's perhaps a flop because of it's movie franchise.
The reason why intellectual property & copyright are important while filming is because for many businesses the intellectual property protects more the idea or a original concept, it then protects the genuine business assets that look to be integral to the core services of the and then overall the long term business and then overall the long term viability . The reason why copyright is important in films is because if someone uses that film without the persons permission then that organisation can suffer massively. The reason why films are publicy funded is because of it being financed through a whole combination of investors, tax credits, grants and other sources.
The funding has to be secured by the film producers and their sale agents, they order to pay for everything at all costs that will accure during the making at that particular film.
Virtual task:
In this virtual task, I decided to do the Fraser Halliday work experience and this is based around Architecture. The reason why Fraser Halliday made this is because they made it so that students who have a interest in architecture as well as design would like to see and explore what the course and the industry is about. The design work experience is made up of two tasks. The first task is a design task. To get you familiar with the sketchup you're going to have to design a house for a celebrity of your choice and that task should take you up to 30 hours. The second task is technical work experience. This work experience is set to design and to construct a new extension using a revit and this task should take you up to 30 hours as well.
Work Experience Day 5:
For my fifth and final day of work experience I had to choose from two videos and have to watch this video. Once I have finished watching this video I have to complete a word document. I had two options to choose from, I chose to do the art option si once I watched the video I completed the worksheet as seen below.
